Poor Leadership Dismantling KUPPET

   Kuppet has for a long time been a strong union whose members are drawn from all over the country. The union works well through delegation of duties to the different branches scattered all over the country.

    Delegation is one core responsibility of a leader, but it can be tricky to delegate effectively when the person on the starring wheel has impaired vision. 

     Omboke Milemba, the current chair is expected to exit the union and focus on his aspirations of vying for the gubernatorial seat in the upcoming election 2022. His vice chair, Julius Kimurgor Korir (Power) is expected to take over from him but his poor leadership skills have threatened to tear the union apart. Kakamega KUPPET branch has become the first to ditch the union sighting poor leadership ahead, with over than 600 members from the region ditching the union and creating a new union, Kenya Union of Teachers Trainers (KUTT).

For the short period that KUPPET vice chair has been on the lead, leadership gaps have been seen, his inability to link the union's branches has led to poor facilitation of teamwork, inability to provide autonomy and poor decision making has led to mistrust in the union.

Mbiyu Koinange's daughter, former Cabinet Minister to face UDA and ODM in Kiambaa by-elections using Jubilee ticket

Jubilee Party has settled on Lenah Koinange, a daughter of the late cabinet minister Mbiyu Koinange to vie for Kiambaa seat.
