Tokyo Olympics Star Found Dead
Agnes Tirop, Kenya's 5,000m women's representative to Tokyo Olympics has been found dead on Wednesday, October 13. Tirop was found dead at her home in Elgeyo Marakwet County - she had stab wounds on the neck. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear at the time of publishing this story. According to residents, the athlete had domestic wrangles with her lover for a while. The wrangles escalated in the morning when Tirop went to pick some of her belongings. They suspected that Tirop might have been killed after their scuffle. To express their anger, the residents went ahead to stone a car believed to be of a friend of her boyfriend. However, the suspect managed to escape from the irate mob.
